Alling fishing club caught more than 1,200 fish and relocated them to the Amper river to save them from certain death by dehydration or lack of oxygen.
Where the stream once provided habitat for fish, only isolated puddles remain. Between the Kneipp facility and federal highway B2, no water flows anymore.
The fish were stunned with an electric fishing device and placed in transport containers before being released into the Amper near Fürstenfeldbruck. This operation was supported by the Wörthsee fishermen and many Alling residents.
