The attack took place on July 27 and the night of July 28, 2026, as part of efforts to ‘weaken the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor,’ the General Staff said. The ‘Prioritet’ facility belongs to the Federal State Treasury Institution and is part of the state material reserve system Rosrezerv. It serves as a major oil depot of national importance for long-term storage of fuel, oil products, and lubricants for emergencies or military purposes. The facility is under military protection and lies more than 1,300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
In addition to the depot in Udmurtia, Ukrainian units struck other targets: a warehouse for material and technical supplies and a fuel and lubricants storage facility near the settlement of Ichki on the Russian-annexed Crimea. A warehouse for unmanned aerial vehicles of the occupiers near Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region was also hit.
The General Staff also published updated loss figures for Russian forces since the start of the war of aggression: as of July 28, 2026, approximately 1,442,140 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded. Among the destroyed equipment are 12,226 battle tanks, 25,038 armored combat vehicles, 46,902 artillery systems, and 431,310 drones. The figures are constantly updated, and calculations are complicated by the high intensity of combat operations.
